READING CONFERENCE

This student assignment required that a promotional poster be designed for the 25th world congress on reading. The conference was to feature workshops, tasty luncheons, and keynote addresses from acclaimed writers and important people. My response to this brief was to develop a strap line for the conference, “its exercise for your brain!” and literally depict brains exercising on bikes and lifting weights. Its cliché, but with a hint of irony that just saves it from triteness.
