This student project was entered into the 07/08 YCN awards as a response to a brief set by the Royal College of Art that asked entrants to ‘improve a space’. The brief was open to interpretation and the space to be improved could be 2D, 3D, 4D virtual or whatever. My response to this brief was to create a series of illustrations depicting a team of overalled workers confronted by a multitude of cubes. They work for long hours and low pay to create a fabulous face before they shimmy away into the sunset, smiles and high fives all round.
